"Celebrate Veterans" Showcase
Shine the spotlight on a veteran who has touched your life. A family member, a neighbor, a client, a volunteer, or even someone you met only once.
How to participate:
- Using just ONE of the prompts below, tell us about your special veteran:
- Why they matter to you ("She could always cheer me up whenever...")
- Favorite memory ("That time I chipped my front tooth and he took me to...")
- Special connection ("We'd make a batch of popcorn and watch reruns of...")
- Something they taught you ("He taught me how to sew using...")
- A story they shared ("She told me about the power of friendship and surviving...")
- How you met ("I was a hospice volunteer and she was...")
- Optional: Share a photo of them or a picture of a memento that reminds you of them and their impact on your life.
- Upload your submission by Friday, Nov. 4, to be entered into the random prize drawing for Lifespark swag. The winners will be announced on Nov. 14 and selected stories will be featured in The Scoop and on the Rock Your Purple website in honor of Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
